I know I am horrible at this blog thing. I hate to write...I just like to be snoopy and look at other blogs! We took Adley on an egg hunt a couple weeks ago and she enjoyed putting all the eggs in her mouth and taking them out of her bucket. She turned 10 months old yesterday! I can't believe in 2 short months she will be 1. The year has gone by so fast.

On another note pray for us during another transition time in our lives. Casey's year is almost up here in Duncan and we are not quite sure what God has planned for us next.

One of Those Days

I am having one of those days where I just want to get OUT of the house and do something. I am not wishing and hoping for Adley to grow up too fast (because she already is) but it's hard at this age to really get her out and do much. She NEEDS a routine and she NEEDS her nap times. If it gets messed up she has a very off day and doesn't sleep at night. Am I the only crazy one who mainly stays at home so that I can keep her nap times consistent??? After her afternoon nap we do get out of the house some and go on walks or to the park. I just wish we lived closer to a mall, a zoo, or some place fun to take Adley. Or I wish I lived closer to friends that have babies Adley's age. She would love someone to play with! Well, I'm off to clean while she naps. Here are some pics for you to enjoy!

Yes, you hear all the time that a baby changes your life forever. You don't realize the full meaning of that until you have one. I cannot even explain to you how much Adley has changed me, but I will try. With all of the trials and struggles we have had I would not take them back at all. This little girl is a HUGE part of my life now. She has no idea how much I love her and how I would do anything for her. She has made me become closer to God, pray more, read the Bible more, learn to not be so selfish, and so many more. As a mommy you have to be on your toes all the time. You have to be making decisions all the time and be so consistent with them. I want to be the best parent possible. I know I will make mistakes but I pray daily that I will raise this little girl the right way and she will love God and know Him. Even today I am molding her into the woman that she will become some day. I love you, Adley, more than you can even imagine.

Now I know many people mistake babies for being a boy if they are a girl and vice verse. But it's always funny when they do because of the outfits they are wearing. Adley was wearing a PINK top, an overall jumper dress, and tights this morning to church. Someone comes up to us and asked if she was a boy...uhhh really?!? We feel pretty bad for any boy who would be dressed in that. I guess I should have remembered to put a bow in her hair...no, I'm sure the question still would have been asked. I know people just aren't that observant but it's just funny!

Book

A friend of mine gave me a book that she had used with her baby. It's called Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems and has some really good information. I have done what the book says to do today during nap time and we will do it at night as well. So far it has worked well. I am seeing some much needed sleep in our future as soon as we have this taken care of!

We gave Adley her presents on Saturday night because we just couldn't wait any longer! She got a soft teddy bear from her Daddy and a fun little toy from me. She loves both of them!! I completely forgot to take pictures of her on Sunday in her cute little outfit. I did get a few pics of her sleeping on her dad that night. Casey got me a pedicure appt for my present and I got him a business card holder thing that goes on his desk. We had a great Valentine's Day! We love our little Adley girl and thank God her her. Complete Change

Adley has been doing great the past several months. She would always lay down for a nap and bed time awake and just talk and play herself to sleep. She would always wake up happy and play in her crib for a while. We went to Colorado the beginning of Feb and she does NOT sleep in pack n plays for some reason. I fought her for a while but I HAD to get some sleep. She ended up sleeping with me the 5 nights we were there. She even took a few naps with me too. Well, ever since we have been back home she screams and screams when I lay her down for naps and bed time. She will not calm down. I just can't let her scream like that for hours plus she bangs her head on her crib rails. I thought it would just take her a few days to get back into being at home and adjusting to not sleeping with me. Well, it has been 6 days and she still is not doing well. Once I do get her to sleep at night she is up every 2-3 hours and will not go back to sleep. She is not sick and we are not sure if she is teething. She is perfectly happy until it's time to go to sleep. It seems like she would be kinda fussy during the day too if she was teething.

I just need some ideas/suggestions as to what to do! Has this ever happened with anyone?

February 2, 2010: Happy 8 months to our Adley girl!! We love you soooo much!

I know it's been a while since I have posted...a lot has happened and I won't even go into all the details. We had a huge ice storm and lost power for 4 days and stayed with a few people. It was so kind of them to let us stay with them but it was a very long few days. Adley did great through the whole thing though! Some people still do not have power though and I feel so bad for them. I didn't even take any pictures of the ice storm. We left our camera at home! Oh well.

Sorry the post is not much but I'm off to clean and do laundry while Adley is napping. Have a great day!!!

A little Worried

When I stopped nursing Adley she started spitting up a LOT. I had every intention of nursing her but it just didn't work. We have tried so many different formulas and medicines. Nothing seems to work though. I took her to the Dr. last week telling her I wanted to see a GI Dr. The ped. told me a couple more things to try before getting a referral. She told me to add more rice cereal to her bottles. She is on the spit up formula which has added rice starch in it already. So, I added more to her bottles that day and she STILL spit up. She even spits up her solid food. Now I know every baby spits up, but not like Adley. When I say it's a LOT I MEAN A LOT! Well, that night Casey was dressing Adley for bed and she spit up and she COULD NOT breathe because all the rice cereal was choking her. I was so worried to put her to bed that night...what if she did that in her crib and I couldn't hear her?? I stopped putting rice cereal in her bottle. The ped. also prescribed Adley prevacid which is not really helping either.

Anyway...I just thought by 8 months Aldey would be slowing down a little on the spitting up. What should I do??? Take her to a GI? I don't want to spend tons and tons of $$$ (that we don't have) and just be told she will grow out of it eventually. But if there is ANYTHING we can do to help her with this issue we will do it! I feel like I am the only one dealing with this and it's starting to get very old.

Not just because of all the cold weather...I wish we were at the beach on a vacation! I also wish I looked like that in the pic...oh well! This was taken almost 5 years ago on our honeymoon. We had so much fun and haven't really been on a vacation since then. Maybe some day!

I am so thankful to God for such a wonderful husband and dad. This little girl has a GREAT dad. Even though he has worked all day long he still comes home and will sit and play with Adley, read her books, feed her, give her baths, and get her ready for bed. I love you, Casey!!

Oops! I LOVE looking at other people's blogs but for some reason can't update my own real often. I will try harder! Well just a quick update from the last 2 months!

We had a great Thanksgiving with my family at my brother's house. My parents were able to come to Oklahoma and so it was nice to be together with everyone.

Adley is now 6 1/2 months old and learning and changing all the time! She is able to wave hi now and does it all the time! At her last Dr. visit she now weighs 16.1 lbs and is 26 inches. Her growing has slowed down a lot which is fine by me!

For Christmas we are going to Houston to spend it with Casey's family. We are so excited to get out of the house and go some where.

Well, have to cut this short since Adley is up now from her nap. I promise I will try to post more often if you promise to keep reading!!

I think I have finally figured out the problem with our little Adley! I feel like a horrible mommy for not figuring it out sooner. Once we got her on the right formula and once I figured out I was keeping her awake WAY TOO long...things are MUCH better. I now feed her when she wakes up from her nap, play with her for only about 15 minutes or so and she is ready for a nap again. Except for in the evenings I let her stay up a little longer so that she will sleep at night...still waking up once to feed but I can handle that as long as she goes back to sleep right away. Of course she still has her moments but I think all babies do! She is such a sweetie and we are enjoying her sooo sooo much! Oh yeah and we've also been giving her a little Chamomile tea which helps calm and relax her and her tummy. I'm off to do laundry before nap time is over!

God knew what he was doing giving us our little Adley. He has taught me a lot of patience! I thought I was a patient person already from being a PreK teacher, but I guess not! We are really enjoying her though and seeing her cute little personality come out! She will be 4 months on October 2. She can completely control her head, loves to stand up on her toes, loves to squirm around on the floor when she is on her back, hates tummy time, is smiling a lot (when she feels good), and many more things! We have her on some expensive formula and I think it's working, but she still has her many moments of not being happy. We will see! Adley, you have changed our lives completely and mommy and daddy love you very much!

I don't even know if people read this any more since I haven't posted in soooo long. Our little princess has changed EVERYTHING around here. We are having a few issues that I won't go into detail but please pray for us as things are pretty rough right now. We go to the Dr. tomorrow to see if she has any ideas to do. Adley is such a sweetie but she is so unhappy and cries so much. We just want her to be happy!

Since all of this has been going on our house is put together enough, but we still have lots to do. I'm hoping to get it all put together soon and post pics of our beautiful home and our pretty little girl.

Goodbye 111 E 11th St....We will not miss you

Yep, that's right! It's finally going to be moving day for us this Saturday. After living out of boxes for 2 months I think it's time to move!!!! We are sooo ready to be out of this little box of a house and move into a nice 3 bedroom 2 bath home. We will miss all of our friends and family but we will be back pretty often to visit.

Adley is growing so much I can't believe it. I am so in love with her and thank God for such a wonderful miracle. She will be 2 months old on Sunday!! WOW!

Pray for us as we move....it will not be fun moving with a newborn. Pictures to come once we get settled in and have internet.

Adley got her pictures taken about a week ago and they turned out so cute! Brad did a great job. It has been a while since I posted...things have been just a litle busy around here. We are slowly adjusting to our new life and starting to get a little routine going. We love our little girl more and more each day and love seeing her grow and change already. And now it's time to go feed the little princess...

2 Weeks

I can't believe 2 weeks ago we had Adley! It seems like in some ways it has gone by so fast but it also seems like it has dragged on. I am enjoying her while she is so little but it has been rough! I know it gets better. I am so thankful Casey has been here to help me out so much. The most stressful part is that we are in the middle of moving so I have no clue where a lot of her stuff is and we are having to dig and search for anything we need.

If anyone is interested in the birth story here it is:

I had a Dr. appointment on June 2 in the morning. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid the night before but I wasn't sure. While waiting on my Dr. I was having STRONG contractions I thought I was just going to have to go check in at the hospital. Finally my Dr. came to check me and I was dialated to a 4 and almost thinned out completely. We checked in to the hopsital but had to wait for a room. Everyone was having a baby that day! About 2 hours later I was a 6 and was given pitosin. I really don't think the pitosin helped because 20 minutes later I was pushing! I kept yelling at the nurses that I had to push. They checked me and I was a 10 but I had to wait because the Dr. was not in the room and they didn't have anything set up. I didn't even have time for an epidural! It was a great delivery and so fast! I will never forget it though!

We have been waiting for this day for a long time!! Casey graduated today with his master's in Healthcare Administration. He has worked so hard for this and we know God has great plans for our future. We now start another adventure in our lives of not knowing what will be next. We are moving soon to Duncan but who knows after that! I am so sad I was not able to go to his graduation, but he knows I was thinking about him. I will post pics soon since I really don't have much else to do.

No news on the baby girl...things are still the same-still having stronger contractions but no changes.

A very LONG few days but very thankful

I woke up this past Sunday morning with painful contractions. I really wasn't thinking much of it and just stayed home and rested. I had decided to go to work Monday morning and call my OB from work. I called and they told me I needed to come to the hospital right away. We get checked into the hospital and it turns out I was in preterm labor with 2-3 minute contractions and dialated to a 2 which I should not have been dialated at 33 weeks. I went through several painful medications to slow down the labor but nothing was working. On Tuesday morning my OB came in my room and told us we needed to make a choice to stay at St. Anthony or go to Mercy where there is a great NICU because they thought I was going to have this baby girl that day! So we decided to go to Mercy. I got off of all the medication and the contractions started to get worse but Lord willing nothing else happened. To make a long story short we have finally come back home last night. I'm back with my regular OB at St. Anthony and saw him this morning. He has put me on bedrest and is really not sure when our little girl will decide to come. We are just thankful for each day she stays in the oven longer! Keep us in your prayers and come visit me at home!!

I know I am late but things have been busy! Happy Anniversary to the best husband in the world. I thank God all the time for putting Casey in my life. We went out to a nice dinner last week and then went to the Beauty and Beast show last weekend in Guthrie. We are enjoying our time together as just the two of us because we know soon our lives will change forever but we couldn't be more excited. I love you, Casey!

All I wanted was Ice Cream!

To end my day yesterday I had to have some peanut butter cup ice cream. Casey and I went out and got some. I came home and started scooping some out and Casey reaches behind me to get a glass. The glass slips out of his hand and shatters EVERYWHERE!!!! It got in my ice cream bowl and in the tub of ice cream. I guess I didn't need ice cream after all. I survived with yogurt...but I'm hoping Casey will surprise me tonight with some more ice cream. :)

What a week

It has been so busy for us! Last week I took my glucose test and passed it! I drank the stuff then the nurse tried to get her heartbeat and she would not stop moving. My Dr. tried to do an ultrasound but he couldn't even do that! She was on a huge sugar high I guess. Even when she's not on a sugar high she is just moving and kicking! This past weekend we went to a breast feeding class that was very informative and I'm glad we went. Today I went to the dermatologist to have a spot on my back removed. While I was taking my shirt off and putting the gown on the nurse noticed my mole on my belly button. I have had this for a while but since my belly is expanding the mole looks really weird. So, not only did I get shots to numb my back, a spot dug out of my back, and stitches I also had to get my very sensitive belly numbed and scraped too! I was not excited about the whole thing but we will find out Monday the results. We're hoping everything is ok. The one good thing out of this is that I have had the whole day off of work. I was needing a break! Well, I'm off to take a nap. Enjoy the warm weather! I love it :)

Saving Money

I can't believe it is almost April and June will be here before we know it! The pregnancy has gone by so fast but I'm beginning to think these lase few months will drag on while I am getting more uncomfrotable. I've always wanted to be a stay at home mom to my kids and I know I will have the opportunity to do that this year while we are in Duncan. But I have been thinking about it a lot and worrying some. I know we will have to make sacrifices and put our trust in God! We will be eating at home A LOT while in Duncan, we are thinking we won't have cable, we are not buying a bigger car and will not have any car payments, we won't have much entertainment in Duncan...so I hope and pray we will use our money wisely so that I can stay home. If anyone has any suggestions on saving money feel free to let me know what you do! Any advice would help. Have a good weekend and stay warm with this yucky weather.

This has been the best week for me! I am feeling great, but that will shortly end once I have to go back to work on Monday. We had our church baby shower last Sunday and I am amazed at the generosity of everyone! Our baby girl got so many nice things! My parents and Casey's were able to come and it was nice to see them. I am finally feeling and seeing our baby girl move A LOT! The reason I haven't been so much was because my placenta is in the front and blocking some of her movement. She is definitely getting bigger and stronger. She is currently listening to some lullaby music and enjoying it I think. We have finally decided on a name but you have to wait until we have her! It's a surprise! Casey and I were able to go to Duncan yesterday and look at our duplex we will be living in. Ours is still being built so we saw a model one and they are beautiful!!! Since we've been married our living arrangements haven't been the greatest. I'm not complaining though, just not the best. Well, this duplex is beautiful!!! We are going to get spoiled and never want to leave. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage, fenced in yard...I could go on more we are just so excited! Casey deserves it after all the work he has done. Well, I'm off to organize a few things. Enjoy the weekend! Look for pictures to come soon from this past week.

Wow! It has been a while since I posted last! We have had so much going on!! We got our little dog, Izzy, who is the sweetest little thing ever! We are really enjoying her. We've just been busy with work and school. Our baby girl is growing and growing and moving and pushing everything around in her momma's tummy. I'm getting a little uncomfortable at times already so I'm really not looking forward to when I will be really huge! My stomach problems are not doing so well which may cause me to quite work early...we just want me and the baby to be healthy! The picture is of our sweet puppy and me at almost 23 weeks. So sorry I look terrible! My allergies have been awful which is causing me to wear my glasses and no makeup...no fun. I'm off to bed...have a wonderful weekend.

So many Changes!

Our lives will be changing very soon...not just with our new arrival! Friday Casey and I will pick up our little puppy from his cousin. We are naming her Izze. Pictures to come soon! Then, Casey will graduate in May and has been offered a job in Duncan, OK to work with the CEO at the hopsital. We will move in June and then we will have our baby girl. Whew...I really hope me, my pregnant self, can handle all of that. Not to mention I will have to pack up my room at school while I'm 8 months preggo. I know God has everything in control and He has really blessed us! In Duncan they are having a brand new condo being built for us right now that they are paying for which will allow me to stay home. Today was supposed to be the day we find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I have been waiting and waiting for this day and then I get a phone call yesterday at 5:30. My appointment was canceled today because of the weather!!!! The office is supposed to call me tomorrow and reschedule. So, I have to be patient even longer! I have enjoyed the day off though even though I'll have to make it up at the end of the school year. Well, I'm off to read some more out of the Twilight series I have started! They are great!

We go to the Dr. next week to find out the gender of our precious baby! I can hardly wait. Casey and I will be happy with either one, we just want it to be healthy!!! I pray everyday that our baby will be healthy. I'm sure everyone worries during their pregnancy and I am also one of them. I don't think I will ever really stop worrying about this baby! I am in love with him/her already! Casey took a 16 week picture last week with our new camera, but I can't download it onto my computer yet. So, once again, no pictures for now! Be waiting though! I can't believe Christmas break is over. I struggled at getting up at 6 am this morning. I went to work not being prepared at all even though I did go up to my room one day last week. It was a long day and now I am exhausted!! But I am still making dinner...even though it looks disgusting and got very dry in the crockpot. We had a great Christmas in Colorado with my family. It was nice to see old friends and spend time with my family. We got money from my parents for a camcorder and from Casey's parents we got a really nice camera! We are set now to have this baby!! I am feeling good and I can't believe I am 15 weeks already. We went to the Dr. last week and he said he has an idea of the sex, but didn't want to say anything yet! So, we will now go back in 3 weeks to find out what we are having. I don't think I can wait that long, I am soooo excited!!! I hope everyone who reads my blog (if any) had a great Christmas and a happy new year. Look for pics to come of the growing belly :)

We have finally taken a picture! Hopefully we'll remember once a month so that we can document the growth! This is at 12 weeks. I am still tired but I can tell it's getting better. In other news this is our last week until Christmas break! This week will be very loooooong, but I am ready for a much needed break! I can't believe I'm almost done with my first trimester! I am feeling pretty good as long as I have food in my belly and get lots of rest. We have prayed and prayed that this would not be the case, but my stomach problems are acting up a bit. My Dr. is trying to find something that I can take but he's having a hard time. I just hope that it won't get any worse. I don't want to worry about it but of course I do. Well, I know everyone has told me to wait as long as possible to buy maternity clothes. I have waited as long as I could. I had to buy some pants and I will be getting my friend's bag of clothes next week. My pants are sooooo uncomfortable and there's no need to feel like that. I have also been wearing sweat pants to work and I don't know what my principal thinks of that! I went to Motherhood Maternity and found some really cute pants. I have been told to just go to Charlotte Russe (sp?) for shirts and so I did. I ended up not spending too much so Casey and I were both happy about that. Casey is off to the OU game for the weekend. I am at home with soooo much housework to do. I won't do too much but something needs to be done. Well, sorry for no pictures again. I'm off to start some laundry.

We went to the Dr. today and he did another ultrasound. We were able to see and hear the heartbeat which is so exciting! I am about 9 weeks and he has set the date for June 29. The arms and legs are starting to form too which was neat to see. He wants to see me about every 2 weeks since I have had previous health problems with my stomach. I have been off all my medication and I am doing really well. We are thanking God continually for how my health has been during this pregnancy. We pray that I will continue to feel well. I will try to get Casey to take a pic soon. We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Houston for Thanksgiving. I am soooo ready for a break and to eat lots of yummy food. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving and be safe!

I am sooooo Tired and Hungry

Yep, those are my two most common symptoms right now. I have a little nausea, but it could be worse. I HATE getting up and going to work all day everyday. My job is draining as it is so when I come home I want to do nothing but lay on the couch. Nothing gets done in our house except on the weekends if we're lucky. I feel bad for Casey but he is a great help when he's home. I will try to get a pic up soon...I have a little belly that I can see which is probably bloatedness and water. Anyway though my pants are tight and not fitting. I am as happy as ever though that I am able to experience this! I am very ready for Thanksgiving break and the food!!! Until next time...

Casey and I have prayed a lot about this and we feel this is God's time for us. We are about 7 weeks pregnant and couldn't be more excited! Please keep us in your prayers that the pregnancy will go as smoothly as possible. So far I am feeling pretty good.

Casey is in his last year of Hospital Administration. He has done sooooo much during his master's to get involved. He is currently the president for an organization and he has also won what's called the Falcone award. This award is given to one outstanding student and Casey has earned it! I am so proud of him. The banquet is being held right now and I am sick at home with another bug I've caught from one of my precious Pre-K kids. Please keep us in your prayers as many changes will be coming our way soon with Casey graduating.

Miserable

I have not been sick all year until now. I have a cold and it is just miserable to have a cold and teach all day. I stayed home yesterday, but I think I was worse today. I had to stop all the time and blow my nose or sneeze. I loved staying home yesterday. As much as I love my job I would rather stay home. Oh well, maybe some day. Well, I'm off to get some rest. I hope everyone else is having a better week!

The little boy's brother is still on the ventilator. The mom doesn't want the doctors to take him off yet. She is still hoping for a change in the baby. The doctors did say that if the baby does wake up he will have severe brain damage. Keep Praying!!!

One of the hardest jobs as being a teacher is all the emotional things that go on with my children's family lives. It breaks my heart to see some of the issues that go on. I love all my kids so much and I hate to see them go through hard times. There is a little boy in my afternoon class who had a baby brother. He was about 5 or 6 months old and he stopped breathing last week. He was blue by the time someone found him. He was brought back to life and was on a ventilator, but the doctors said there was no chance for him to live. I'm pretty sure they took this precious baby off the ventilator and he has gone to a better place. Please keep this family in your prayers at this difficult time in their lives. I hope I can be an example and an encouragement to this family as they go through this tragedy in their life.

I had a much needed break this past week! On Thursday and Friday I didn't do much which was fun! Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and met Casey's parents in Dallas. We ate way too much food, saw the JFK assassination building, went to the King Tut exhibit, and went to the Galleria. We went to the King Tut exhibit and found out we had 2 hours until the next showing. We had already paid for parking so we decided to walk to the place where the assassination took place. We didn't know it would take over 30 minutes to walk there!!! We were very tired by the time we got back. We had a fun weekend with Casey's parents and are so thankful for them! Sorry I didn't take too many pictures!

Does anyone else watch this show Jon and Kate plus 8? I love watching it every week. It comes on TLC on Monday nights. I am just fascinated with how they do everything with 8 kids! They also play re-runs during the week that I watch too if I have time...even though I've seen most of them already. I know, I'm a dork but I love it!

I am on Fall Break right now and loving it! The kids and I both were needing a break really bad! This weekend we're doing to Dallas to meet Casey's parents there and hang out. I will try to post some pics when we get back. Tomorrow before we leave though I HAVE to clean our house and do laundry. Have a good rest of the week and weekend!

Happy Birthday to me today! I was born on October 8, 1983 at 3:20 in the morning. The 25 years have flown by it seems!!! This morning I woke up to a card and my favorite candy bar (Reeses) on the kitchen cabinet from my wonderful hubby. At lunch my aide from school brought me brownies, made fruit dip, and gave me a gift. It has been a good day so far...my Pre-K kids were good today so that always helps. Tonight I will sit at home by myself while Casey is in class:( I'm thinking about going on a walk and washing my car since it's so nice out! Casey and I are going out on Saturday night to celebrate instead. Once again I don't have any pictures to share. Hopefully Saturday I will have some to post. Have a good rest of the week!!

Homemade Gourmet

I don't know about you but I really don't feel like thinking about what to eat for dinner, finding new things to eat, grocery shopping...the list goes on. One of my parents that I had from last year does this Homemade Gourmet thing at her house once a month. You prepare 7 meals in one night at her house and come home and freeze them. The meals feed 6 people, so when I come home I split them again. I now have 14 meals in my freezer! It is a great thing to do and very reasonable. Let me know if you are interested in going to the next one and we can car pool.

Well, I wish I had more to talk about on here and more pictures to post, but I don't. Casey has class on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 9:00 so I try to find things to do so that I don't get too bored at home or fall asleep on the couch way too early. This week I went to see a movie with one of my friends on Wednesday night and on Thursday my roomate from college, Talsie, came to visit with her precious baby boy! I didn't even get any pictures! On Friday I went to see another movie with some more friends! I don't think I've ever been to the theatre twice in one week! It has been a busy week last week! I'm so thankful for all of our wonderful friends we have. I can't believe the weekend is over, but I love my job so I don't mind going! I hope everyone has a good week!

The Weekends Go By Too Fast!

I always look forward to the weekends but they go by way too fast! On Friday night we babysat our nephew, Ethan. Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market and did our usual...bought some fruit and veggies and breakfast burritos. If you haven't gone to the Farmer's Market here in Edmond I highly recommend going! I love all the fresh fruit and veggies. Casey did some homework when we got back and then in the evening we went to the Parade of Homes and out to dinner with Zann and Tracy. I am so happy, content, and blessed with all I have but going to the parade of homes just makes me want something that we really don't need. I should just be thankful for the home that we have and count my many blessings. God is so good to us! Today we went to church, out to lunch with friends, cleaned the house, went back to church, and hung out with friends this evening. It was a fun and productive day! I better get ready for bed...tomorrow morning will be here bright and early!

Fair Time!

Well, we went back to the fair on Sunday afternoon. The weather was perfect to go! We went with our friends Cody and Kaley and had a great time...we ate too much fair food though. We had greasy turkey legs, jug of rootbeer, shared a funnel cake and lemonade, and tried some of Kaley's Wisconsin cheese sticks. If you go to the fair you have to eat some of the food there. I wanted to see the Sea Lion show soooo bad, but we had just missed it. At least Kaley and I got a picture by them.

I sure am enjoying this weather! I love taking my kids outside in this kind of weather! Have a good week...

A Lazy Rainy Day

We had big plans to go to the fair today with some friends. I knew it would be a bad day to go with the rain and all. Well, we ventured out and drove all the way down in the pouring rain the whole way. We ended up turning around and going home. We'll try again another day. We've just been hanging out at home watching movies and relaxing before the OU game starts. We're going to watch the game with Zann and Tracy tonight. Keep Casey's parents in your prayers (and everyone) who is going through hurricane Ike. We are unable to reach them right now. Well, I will stop blabbing on for now. Hopefully I'll take more pictures and post some pics on my next post. Have a good weekend!

As much as I love my job as being a PreK teacher, I am worn out and ready for the weekend by Friday. Last year I would come home (almost every night) and collapse onto the couch and not do a thing. I feel better this year though! I have a great group of kids and feel more prepared. Today we went to the Farmer's Market, I did some laundry, and we watched the OU game with the Prock's. We had such a fun time with them!! If you know Casey's family at all you know they are big OU fans. I could really care less about watching any football, but I do enjoy eating the yummy food we have during the game! Well, I'm off to do some dishes. Hope you are having a nice and restful weekend!

I am so blessed by God to have a wonderful Christian husband. I couldn't be happier to have Casey in my life. We have been married a little over three years and I love him so much!
